Security according to DIN
In accordance to DIN E 18869-7 all oxytec products fulfill the strict safety conditions imposed to ventilation systems in industrial and canteen kitchens:
Ozone concentration
In order to protect from a major ozone concentration the UV-C/Ozone air purification device is connected during installation to the ventilation system, and attached at the same time to a pressure monitor. The UV-C/Ozone device only runs while the exhaust air system is operating. If a coupling of the UV-C/Ozone air purification equipment to the exhaust air system could not be achieved in exceptional cases, the pressure monitor prevents the operation of the UV-C/Ozone device when switching off the exhaust air system.
UV-C irradiation
UV-C protection is achieved by high-grade steel Foucault current filter, used as a separator. An effective irradiancy of Eeff 0,5 mW/mē is never exceeded, measured in 10 cm distance of the separator, the junction points to the separator itself and the protection sheets. Taking the separators out leads to immediate deativation of the plant. A reactivation of the plant while still opened remains impossible. The deactivation of the plant is controlled by:
- pressure differential monitor
- filter contact, assembled to one protection sheet per approx. four filters
The junction points of the separators are kept as small as possible by using pressure rolls (assembled to one protection sheet per approx. four filters).
